There Was A Writer From Wisconsin…

It’s National Limerick Day, and I was going to write a limerick to celebrate, but I decided to spare the world my depredations.

Every Sunday is Publishing Day here in the Emerson household, but yesterday that got missed due to Mother’s Day. We visited my mother-in-law Linda and had a lovely time. The dogs did not enjoy the car ride there, and didn’t want to leave when it was time to go home!

I have two items ready for publication that may not see the light of day until next Sunday as a result. Formatting and building covers and writing cover blurbs takes time that belongs to writing during the week. I’m averaging more than 2500 words a day, and want to keep that up.

Not to give too much away, but one of the books to come is a sequel to Bad Fortune, my novella about Wayne and Sis Carter. Wayne hates the occult, and hates that I subjected him to even more occult nonsense in this new story. I maintain that it isn’t my fault, it’s his own bad luck. I don’t think he’s buying it.

Still, I had a lot of fun writing the story, and I can’t seem to get the Carters off my mind or my writing computer, but that’s enough said about that.

In other news, I saw Thunderbolts* in the theater and I absolutely loved it. It said a lot about loneliness, depression, and mental health, and was clever and charming as well. I plan to see it again soon. I’m a big fan of seeing movies in the theater and will often see a movie multiple times if I enjoy it. Hey, I don’t smoke, I don’t drink, a gal’s got to have some vices!
