I’ve been hard at work writing stories and getting them ready for release. My fantasy novel, Heart of the Golem, is out! Along with several other stories, all listed on my Books page.
I’m having a fantastic time writing these stories and I can’t wait for you to read them. I have a couple of contemporary fantasies in the wings that should be ready for publication soon.
This week I undertook a challenge because I wanted to finish the novel I was working on, and I wanted to know if I could do it. I wrote 3,000 words last Sunday. Then I added 1,000 words to my goal each day, and I made it – until Tuesday, when I finished the book!
So that challenge was short lived, but it taught me a couple of things. One, it helps me to get some writing out of the way first thing in the morning, before distractions can set in. Two, I can write 3,000 or more words a day, even on a workday. I just have to want to.
That means I can get a lot more writing done than I’d planned for. I’m super excited, and I can’t wait for the next challenge.
